Symbolism & Structure

The Sui hexagram has the Lower trigram being Chan (Thunder/Dong), the Upper trigram being Doai (Trach/Joy). A strong, determined person (Chan) voluntarily puts himself under the control of joy and obedience (Doai). This is the image of a gentleman who knows when to step up to lead and when to step back to follow a leader or a correct ideal.

Philosophy & Virtues

The philosophy of the Sui hexagram teaches that: 'Depending on, the original success benefits the virgin, there is no end'. If you follow the times, you will be successful, but you must maintain integrity (chastity). Not everything can be followed blindly. Following goodness, following progress is good; If you follow evil or desire, you will fail. The key point of the Sui hexagram is joy (Doai) in action (Chan), creating a positive energy resonance between the leader and the follower.

1st Line

Hao Thuong Luc: 'It's the fishing branch, the grandmother is the only one. Vuong uses the Tay Son's blessings'. Tightly bound, must follow to the end. Showing absolute sincerity, like a king who sacrifices at the West Mountain, receives the blessing of the gods.
