Symbolism & Structure

The Dai Huu hexagram has the Lower trigram as Can (Thien/Strong), the Upper triangular as Ly (Fire/Clear). The image of the sun (Ly) dominating the sky (Can) shows a clear appearance, nothing can obscure it. In particular, line 5 (Yin) is a gentle line and is in the supreme position, strongly supported by 5 Yang lines. This is a statue of a wise leader who uses virtue to win and manage assets and talents.

Philosophy & Virtues

The philosophy of the Dai Huu hexagram teaches: 'Dai Huu, intact'. Great ownership is very clear. However, the path of wealth is 'Against evil and good, follow heaven's destiny' (Prevent evil, promote goodness, obey heaven's destiny). When having power and money in hand, a gentleman must be even more discerning so as not to be blinded by greed, and to use that property to help the world instead of for personal enjoyment.

Line by Line Analysis

1st Line

Hao So Cuu: 'No harm, no harm, no trouble'. When you're first rich or just starting to own, you don't have arrogance yet, so it's not harmful. Always remember in difficult times to keep yourself safe and avoid complicated relationships that can cause disaster.

2nd Line

Hao Cuu Nhi: 'The great distance carries loads, the past is gone, there is no end'. Big car with heavy load, room to go, no faults. You have the ability and means to shoulder great responsibility. Be confident in carrying out large-scale plans.

3rd Line

Hao Cuu Tam: 'The use of the heavenly prince, the petty person is invincible'. The prince was given a banquet by the king. Small people cannot do this because of greed. People with status must know how to use their assets to serve the great cause.

4th Line

Hao Cuu Tu: 'It's a shame, it's nothing'. It's not a sin to not flaunt your wealth. Warning that showing off wealth or power will lead to envy and disaster.

5th Line

Hao Luc Ngu: 'The husband's decision is like the hand, the power is like the sand'. Sincere faith and obedience help connect people, and having dignity is good. This is the main line of the hexagram, showing the demeanor of a rich but virtuous person.

6th Line

Hao Thuong Cuu: 'From the heavens, there is no harm'. God bless you, good, nothing bad. Due to a correct attitude towards life and good deeds, you receive natural blessings from the universe.
