The Cauldron (Ding)
Symbolizes the cauldron, the establishment of a new order, the nurturing of talent and the stability of power and prestige.
6-Line Structure
I Ching Interpretation
Symbolism & Structure
The Peak hexagram has the Lower trigram being Ton (Feng/Wood/Nhuan), the Upper triangular being Ly (Fire/Clear). The wind blew the fire under the wooden cauldron. The image of the Peak has legs (moat 1), abdomen (moment 2, 3, 4), ears (moat 5) and handle (moat 6). This is a sacred dharma weapon used for offerings and banquets. After reform (Cach hexagram), it is necessary to use the Dinh hexagram to stabilize and nurture society.
Philosophy & Virtues
The philosophy of the Peak hexagram teaches: 'Peak, good luck, happiness'. Establishing a new thing honestly is very good. The gentleman who meets the Dinh hexagram must 'remain in the correct position to complete the mission'. Peaks are used to cook food, just as organizations are used to nurture talent. The key point is that the Top must be strong (the legs must not break) and the food inside must be pure.
Line by Line Analysis
1st Line
Hao So Luc: 'The most crazy, the most handsome, the best concubine, the unlucky one'. The top is turned upside down to dump out the rotten old stuff. Like taking concubines to have descendants. A new beginning begins with clearing out the old, without error.
2nd Line
Hao Cuu Nhi: 'The top is real, the fall is the fault, the fall is terrible, sand'. There is food in the peak, people hate you, but you can't do anything about it. Having inner strength helps you be confident and lucky.
3rd Line
Hao Cuu Tam: 'At the top of the ear gap, in the middle of the block, stagnant high and not real, Phuong Vu bows down, ends well'. The tip of the ear is changed, food cannot be eaten. There will be difficulties in developing your talent, but if you keep your integrity, the sun will shine after the rain, and in the end it will be good.
4th Line
Hao Cuu Tu: 'At the top of philosophy, success is fast, strange and evil'. Dinh broke his leg and spilled all his precious food. Warning that using incompetent people to shoulder big responsibilities can lead to catastrophic failure. Very bad.
5th Line
Hao Luc Ngu: 'The top of the yellow ear is gold and nuy, the loi virgin'. The tips of the ears are yellow and the straps are gold. The leader is humble, listens and has tough, talented colleagues to help. Very good.
6th Line
Hao Thuong Cuu: 'Top of the jade 铉, great auspiciousness, no disadvantage'. Pearl strap. The hardness (Yang) is surrounded by gentleness and preciousness (Jade). Perfect results, ultimate prestige, nothing unfavorable.
General Discussion
The Peak Hexagram reminds: If you want to maintain power and prosperity, you must know how to value talented people (dash 5) and eliminate incompetent people who break the foot of the cusp (mosa 4).

Abundant and sustainable. Revenue comes from reputation and solid business foundations. Invest in people and management systems.
Health & Well-being
Good. You should pay attention to nourishing your body with clean foods (like the nourishing meaning of Dinh). Avoid overwork that leads to nervous system fatigue.
Luu Y Dac Biet
To cast the Peak hexagram, the most important thing is 'Choose someone'. One wrong partner (moment 4) can ruin the entire career you have worked so hard to build.
Strategic Insights
Risk Analysis
The biggest risk is 'mistakes in using people' (moment 4). When you give responsibility to someone who lacks virtue and talent, the 'Peak' of your career will collapse no matter how delicious the food inside is.
Strategy
If you do the opposite (Refuse to establish routine, live temporarily): You will never have majesty and sustainability. The Peak hexagram teaches that after destroying (Way) you must know how to build (Peak) for life to have meaning.
