Symbolism & Structure

The Quy Muoi hexagram has the Lower trigram Doai (Trach/Girl/Joy), the Upper trigram is Chan (Loi/Young man/Dong). Image of a girl pursuing a boy (contrary to traditional morality). The word 'Quy Muoi' means that the younger sister returns to her husband's house but in the position of concubine or secondary position. This is a statue of acting according to desire, emotions overwhelming reason.

Philosophy & Virtues

The philosophy of the Quy Mui hexagram teaches: 'Returning to sisters, conquering evil, not benefiting'. Acting hastily at this time will bring disaster and will bring no benefit. The law of heaven and earth is that there must be legitimacy and order (like the Tiem hexagram). When starting with a mistake (wanting results before having a foundation), the outcome is often regret.
