Symbolism & Structure

The Phong hexagram has the Lower trigram being Ly (Fire/Clear), the Upper triangular being Chan (Thunder/Dynamo). Light comes with powerful action. The image of the sun is at its peak (midday), illuminating every corner. However, when the sun is at its highest point, it also begins to set. Therefore, the Phong hexagram is both a celebration and a reminder of impermanence.

Philosophy & Virtues

The philosophy of the Phong hexagram teaches: 'Feng, prosperity, and royalty are the elements; '. The king who achieves prosperity does not need to worry, he should be like the midday sun shining all over the world. The gentleman who meets the Phong hexagram must 'exorcise the punishment' (transparently adjudicate lawsuits, and fairly enforce the law). When you have power and wealth, the most important thing is to maintain clarity (Ly) so as not to be obscured by arrogance (darkness).

Line by Line Analysis

1st Line

Hao So Cuu: 'Ngo Ky's consort, although the week is gone, the past is present'. Meet a worthy companion (consort). Even if we are temporarily in a low position, if we move forward together, we will have merit. Good for initial cooperation.

2nd Line

Hao Luc Nhi: 'In the wind and in the sky, in the middle and in the middle, we fight. Once you have doubts, your spouse will become weak and miserable.
